What do our puppies eat?

All of our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are $1,200. This includes limited AKC registration. Full registration is available at an additional fee. We accept cash, PayPal, and any major debit or credit card that is accepted by Square.

Deposits are $500 and are due when the puppies are 5 weeks old. This allows us time to find a new home if your home should no longer be available.

To be placed on the waitlist, you can submit a non-refundable deposit. Should we not have a litter as expected, we will either allow you to wait for our next litter, or we will return the deposit. Puppies are considered available until a deposit has been received by Ozark Mountain Paws. At the time the deposit is made, the buyer will need to choose a gender. At the five week mark, we will begin to match puppies to their homes. We will go down the list according to whose deposit was received first.

We start our puppies on Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy Formula as they are weaned off of milk. We suggest that you serve your puppy’s food in the morning and the evening instead of “free-feeding” so that you can better monitor when they will be ready to go potty.

When can my puppy come home?

We do not let any of our puppies go to their forever families until they are at least 8 weeks of age, as this will set them up for the optimum levels of success.

What can I expect of you?

We will not put any of our puppies onboard a plane for health and safety reasons. Unless otherwise specified, all puppies will be picked up in Bolivar, Missouri.

Your puppy will be sent home with a collar, a gallon bag of their dry dog food, AKC registration paperwork, and a toy that has their mother and litters scent on it for your puppy to sleep with to comfort them during their first days. Our puppies will also come home with their first round of vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting one of our puppies, we ask that you complete the contract found HERE and e-mail it to us at ozarkmountainpaws@gmail.com. We will then communicate with you to ensure that the temperament and needs of our available puppies will be an excellent match for your family. A PDF version of the contract can be viewed HERE.

If, for any reason, there comes a time when you can no longer care from your puppy from Ozark Mountain Paws, we will take the dog or puppy back, no questions asked. As part of our contract, we ask for a commitment from you that no puppy from our kennel will ever be surrendered to a shelter. We will either take them in ourselves, or find another suitable family for them.

Before your puppy goes home, we will send out weekly e-mail newsletters with pictures and videos so that you can see what the puppies are up to. Instead of allowing families to pick their puppy out via pictures, we urge you to let us know the personality traits you are looking for in a puppy, so that we can best match one of our puppies to your lifestyle. When the puppies are 5 weeks old, we will have a meet and greet event where families can come and meet their puppy, if they so choose. Weekly newsletters will continue until the puppies go home. After they go home, we will remain available to you via e-mail and phone permanently to answer any questions about puppy care, dog training, or any other needs that should arise. We hope to continue to hear from you and keep up with all of our Ozark Mountain Paws pups!
